Royal Blue 01.06.20 - 16.08.20

Unique pieces from Hampton Court Palace and the V&A in London are brought together with Delfsts Blue in a moving love story. The Kunstmuseum exhibition Royal Blue is scheduled to open 1st of June 2020 and will feature a range of work from our Blueware Collection.

William III and Mary II Stuart were known for their splendid collection of Delftware with which they decorated their palaces in the Netherlands and England. From pyramid-shaped tulip vases many meters tall to flowerpots and serving dishes for preserves: in the late 17th century the most beautiful and technically refined earthenware was created for them by the potteries in Delft. The exhibition Royal Blue is organised in conjunction with Het Loo Palace and will bring together the very best showpieces from the Rijksmuseum, Museum Prinsenhof Delft and numerous European collections.

Location : Kunstmuseum / Stadhouderslaan 41 2517 HV / Den Haag / The Netherlands
