Botanical Rugs are hand-knotted rugs depicting flora from our own flower presses. We forage and preserve weeds before using them to make compositions, which are then woven into the rugs. This method of designing leads to a direct representation of nature rather than an embellished one. The subjects of the designs are represented exactly as they are found; roots, warts and all.
